Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors cordially invites you to be a part of our signature event as we gather for the 88th Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner, with a nod to the 50th season of the television series “Survivor”. Our theme is “Surviving Business Challenges”.
We invite members and guests to join us Thursday, October 22, 2026, 5:30 pm at Grand Pointe Conference and Event Center, 1500 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, WV. That’s “Day 22” of the month!
The Special Events Committee is committed to presenting an enjoyable experience with a vital “take-away” of information for all who attend. We will be presenting a special evening of food, social gathering, and business networking. Our “final tribal council” will present the “challenges” of owning and managing a business. But no one gets “voted off” the island if they have “immunity”! Yes, there WILL be tiki torches!
We are currently seeking sponsors and would be honored to have your business or organization sponsor our dinner this year. This event attracts approximately 250 guests yearly, and we enthusiastically invite you join us in this celebration of business in the Belpre Area. Again, we will use video to highlight our major sponsors.

Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate whenever something great happens in our communities. Today we partnered with Artsbridge, Belpre City Schools,and City of Belpre to cut a ribbon in celebration of a beautiful mural on a plain wall located at the intersection of Campus Drive and Stone Road.

Belpre Area Chamber Ambassadors did a little shopping today in Parkersburg!
First, Eric Hopkins, property manager, and Ava Huebner, Marketing specialist, at Grand Central Mall, hosted an insiders' peek at the upgrades at the regional shopping location. New flooring, new lights, new stores, new furnishings, new events and experiences for shoppers... Chris and Eva invited us and all shoppers back to the mall. We can't wait for holiday shopping.
Next, owner Keith McClung and staff of Crown Decor and Gifts welcomed us into his "largest gift shop in WV", 1933 Ohio Ave. With shopping baskets in hand, ambassadors shopped their way through the massive displays for holidays (Halloween!!!), home and gifts, ending in the Confectionary for ice cream.

We stopped at a new business Bridgeview Market, 2311 Ohio Ave. Eric and Sarah led ambassadors through the store packed with booths of homecrafted items, antiques, and vintage treasures.

Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) announces the 88th Annual Dinner “Surviving Business Challenges” set for Thursday, October 22, at Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center, 1500 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.
Tickets for the plated meal are $70 and are available by calling 740-423-8934, through links contained in Chamber communication, by visiting www.belprechamber.com, or through Eventbrite.
Social Time is 5:30-6:00 pm with seating for dinner at 6:15 pm, followed by a special “Tribal Council” panel and “A Night of Awards.”
Master of Ceremonies for the event is Ben Bradley.
The panel, moderated by Chuck Helmick of 1st Mutual Bank, features 4 local business owners or non-profit managers discussing their experiences in meeting the challenges of clients, customers, marketing, and staffing, etc. The panel includes Shelene Shrewsbury, executive director at Consumer Credit Counseling Services of the Mid-Ohio Valley; Keith McClung, owner of Crown Décor and Gifts; Marvion Edwards, owner of Maka Mia Pizza of Vienna; and Pam Creel, owner of Wine Down on Market.
The evening will help attendees reach “immunity” from the challenges of the business journey. Attendees will be challenged to “Outwit, Outplay and Outlast”!
Using the 90th season landmark of the long-running television show for theme as well as framework, attendees will have fun, reflect, and learn throughout the evening.
According to Kecia Barr, Marketing Director at First Settlement Physical Therapy and BACC Board of Directors President, the dinner and celebration is the culmination of a great year and focuses on Chamber and member accomplishments.
“This year’s “Survivor”-themed dinner is a fun reminder that business success often comes down to the same qualities: resilience, strategy, and teamwork. We’re excited to celebrate the businesses and individuals who continue to outwit challenges, outplay obstacles, and outlast through change,” she said.
Features of the event include a video presented during the 5:30 pm social hour spotlighting Platinum and Platinum Plus sponsors and other supporters.
Stand-out businesses, individuals and organizations will be placed in the spotlight as winners as the “Night of Awards” is featured. Awards will include Belpre Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Business of the Year, Spirit of the Chamber, and Spirit of the Community
Social Time appetizers and décor will be sponsored by our Platinum Plus sponsors. Additional sponsors, board members, and dignitaries will be spotlighted throughout the evening.
BACC Business Marketing Funding winner will be announced.

The Rotary Club of Belpre hosted a First Responder community event in recognition of 9/11 Day on Sept. 20 in Civitan Park.
As part of the event, the Rotary Club of Belpre awarded thermal imaging units to the Belpre and Little Hocking Fire Departments through a grant from Marietta College’s Office of Community Engagement. These specialized units will provide firefighters with an important tool to help locate people through thick smoke during emergency situations.
Fire trucks from both departments were on site, giving community members an opportunity to meet local first responders and learn more about the work they do to keep the community safe.
Children enjoyed coloring books, crayons, and slap bracelets during the event to help them learn the importance of fire safety.
The American Red Cross of the Central Appalachia Region brought its emergency response vehicle. Representatives provided certificates to individuals who need smoke alarms installed in their homes for free.
Mayor Susan Abdella along with representatives from the Belpre Rotary Club and Marietta College Community Engagement attended the event.
The Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” is at the heart of the event. The Rotary Club of Belpre thanks Heather Miller, Director of Community Engagement at Marietta College, for securing the grant to provide this valuable equipment to local firefighters and support the community.
